The Winslow Street Park on Pleasant Street is really coming together.

Some haters like Clive McFarlane have questioned the wisdom of putting a park here, but I think the location, right next to Ed Hyder's Market and several cheap restaurants, is perfect.

I mentioned to one neighborhood kid that some people were saying, "They don't need a park, Elm Park is a couple blocks away," and the kid said, "No way, my parents won't let me walk all the way to Elm Park."
