That's a great mix, Duncan. Makes me want to make a road trip just to listen to mix CDs. Maybe that's the next Curtain Society field trip. 

When I was first falling in love with Itunes, I would make mix CDs for any car trip Amy and I would take. I have stacks of CD-Rs with "trip to Portsmouth 4/05" or "drive to Ikea 2/04" Sharpied on them.

Highway Star! aw yeah. That's a killer driving song. Makes me want to sell the house and buy a Freightliner and hit the road.

I heard "Heading out to the Highway" by Judas Priest the other day. That's another great rockin' road trip song.

ok so I just stumbled upon this thread and although it is a year old, I think that road trip / cd exchange is a awesome idea. Pick a destination, maybe 72 minutes away at tops, we all meet at the destination, spend the day, leave with a bunch of mix cds for the ride home.

horrible waste of gas I know, and these days it's not easy to justify, so we can car pool of course. Maybe take a few car loads to Maine or something?

portland was on my mind when I wrote that. If we could find a campsite that we could throw some horseshoes and grill, that would be fairly awesome as well.

I cant get to maine in 72 minutes. northern mass at best.
