Tonight, Wednesday, Hypersolid joins Symphony X and Misery Divine downstairs at the Palladium.

On Thursday night, Nondeskript helps celebrate Elijah Divine’s birthday at Spiritual Haze, which is throwing a blacklight graffiti party; and Everyday Disaster opens for Flock of Assholes at the Lucky Dog Music Hall on Green Street.

Friday, Nov. 21, Steve Cancelli joins Chet Williamson every week from 6-9 p.m. as the duo Two for the Road at Val’s in Holden; The Howl and Uncle Billy’s Smokehouse team up at Tammany Hall; The Love Dogs play the blues at Gilrein’s; Sean Fullerton’s singing tunes at Giusseppe’s Italian Grille in Northboro; Bill McCarthy’s doing something similar down at Greendale’s during the early evening hours; The Beatle Butchers return to The Dive Bar; Rose Colored Glasses rocks the Kaz Bar on Route 20; Andrew Hoover sings at Nick’s; The Cosby Sweaters are back playing ‘80s tunes at the Galway Bay; Lisa Marie belts out the blues at the Sahara Restaurant on Highland Street; and Kashmir pays tribute to Zeppelin at JJ’s in Northboro.

On Saturday, Doug Moore’s swing band Blind Tiger Swing Posse is at Gilrein’s; Falling Freely joins Stereo Hazard and lots of other bands at the Palladium; As the Dead Rise, Crimson Bile and Anger Rising join hands as one at Tammany Hall; Necktie Party’s opens for The Wandas, who celebrate the release of a new CD with a show at Ralph’s; the Bad Bads are at Ralph’s; No Alibi covers pop and rock at Greendale’s; BYOBlues is doing just that at the Blue Plate in Holden; and Movin’ Out brings 26 Billy Joel classics to new life to tell the story of five lifelong friends over two turbulent decades in this musical hitting the Hanover Theatre. There are two shows – one at 2 p.m. and one at 8 p.m. Also on Saturday afternoon, Dave Pike and the Good Ol' Boys Band are doing a cancer benefit in the afternoon at Indian Ranch in Webster.

And keep in mind, the biggest club night of the year is happening next Wednesday, Thanksgiving Eve. There’s a lot to choose from. For the first time in more than 15 years, Wilbur and the Dukes won't be doing a show, as frontman Steve Going is still recovering from a serious motorcycle accident. We wish him well. And also for the first time in more than 15 years, Probable Cause isn’t playing the Lucky Dog, but Huck and The Curtain Society are stepping in to fill the night. Both bands play a set of their own tunes, and then combine to form a supergroup of sorts, backing up guest singers doing fun covers. The Valves blast Gilrein’s with a shot of horn-induced R&B; Hat On Drinking Wine does its regular thing at Nick’s; Ed and Dave sing at Greendale’s; Bill McCarthy sings at the Whistle Stop; the Cobramatics return to Ralph’s; Sam James joins Skullfunked at Tammany; and Panache plays dance covers at Sakura Tokyo. And Probable Cause? Well, they’ve decided to move over to McFadden’s, where they’ve built a following throughout the year.
