Hat On, Drinking Wine brings its cool brand of rootsy originals--and an eclectic mix of covers from folks like Wilco, the Pogues, the Decemberists, and Gram Parsons--to Nick's Bar and Restaurant (124 Millbury St. in Worcester) every Wednesday from 8-11:00 pm. Great German food, plenty of alcohol in many varieties, and you can listen to us play or eat your food or chat with your friends--we'll just be happy you're there.

Wondering about the band name? For no good reason, we made up a huge list of lines from Van Morrison songs, and that phrase from the song "Madame George" seemed like the best one.

My next favorite was "Shine Your Glory," from the song "Joe Harper Saturday Morning," but "shining your glory" sounded to me too much like a euphemism for . . . well, use your imagination.
