Worcesteria has the scoop on what is going down, or what it's going down at The Q on Chandler St. Seems there has been numerous complaints about noise, and entertainment without a license. I hope that they get this stuff squared away so that they can continue on.
Here's the story.
The commission (Peter Lukes, Karon Shea, and an absent Kevin O’Sullivan) heard two hearings for the underground-hipster coffee shop Q Cafe, off Chandler Street: One, an application for an entertainment license; another, a violation hearing for having entertainment without a license.
Police said there have been “more than 50″ complaints from neighbors about the coffee shop, ranging from noise to public urination. One neighbor at the hearing detailed public sex, strewn condoms, and cigarette holes burned through a convertible roof. “[The customers] don’t [need to] hang around outside all day long,” said the neighbor, complaining about patrons on couches and playing soccer all day and night.

The coverage by the Telegram of this past Saturdays New Orleans style funeral/parade/party celebrating Ralph Moberly was all too brief.

I feel bad about everything surrounding the Station Nightclub fire but suing JBL saying they make speakers that are flammable seems unreasonable. There are countless products that are flammable. Pyrotechnics will cause most of them to catch on fire. JBL settled the lawsuit for $815k.
The lawsuit accused JBL of making speakers that had flammable foam inside, although JBL has said in court papers that nothing in its speakers would have sped the fire any more than any other building material.
ABC Bus Leasing, Inc., and Superstar Services, which leased the buses that brought the band members and the fireworks to the club, said they would pay a combined $500,000.

Mr. Moberly, believed to be 64,
apparently suffered a heart attack yesterday morning while visiting Philadelphia. He had been living in Vermont, but was in Worcester earlier this month for the opening of the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts.
Ralph Moberly R.I.P. Services will be held at the First Unitarian Church (Main St, next to the old courthouse), Saturday April 5th, at 11am. Afterwards there will be a celebration of Ralph

This is a shame, as I said before. People will never mistake Worcester as a city with any sort of vision that's for sure.
Rather than wait a few months to build a giant State run building, filled with State paid employees, they told Martin Scorceses to buzz off.
