Rare Beatles music thread #12

Imagine if you will that you are Phil Spector and it’s around May 1970.  In the mail comes a 2-track tape from England from your friend George Harrison.  Imagine that the tape has demos by Mr. Harrison taking you through some of the songs that you will start recording with him for the “All Things Must Pass” album next month.  Well, this is that tape.

This or these sessions were probably recorded during the last part of April or early in May 1970.  George is obviously suffering through a cold but still puts in a fine performance.  We hear songs that would appear on “All Things….” and some that he never recorded again.  In fact, one song, “I Don’t Want To Do It” wouldn’t appear until the  “Porky’s Revenge” soundtrack.

It’s either George or Klaus Voorman playing the bass here and George switches from electric to acoustic throughout.

Some of these tracks were on the re-issue of “All Things….” Right before George died, but those were remixed and in some cases, extra modern instruments were added.  YUK!

This is the complete tape.

"Run of the Mill"

"The Art of Dying"

"Everybody, Nobody"

"Wah-Wah"

"Window, Window"

"Beautiful Girl"

"Beware of Darkness"

"Let It Down"

"Tell Me What Has Happened To You"

"Hear Me Lord"

"Nowhere To Go"

"Cosmic Empire"

"Mother Divine"

"I Don’t Want To Do It"

"If Not For You"

Thanks, Louie.

Can we all agree that the All Things Must Pass reissue might be the single worst reissue ever?

Countless?  The original, the movie soundtrack, the 1972 London Symphony version with all the guest stars (not really The Who), the 1995 remaster, and the deluxe edition.  That's five.   I didn't even have to use my second hand (which is good because I was eating a donut).

And I believe he said "worst single reissue".    You need to specify one particular reissue!

I have to disagree.  The

I have to disagree.  The reissue of ATMP is terrific, the bonus tracks suck ass-hole.
