the press release isn't out yet, but Tom Waits is confirmed to be playing Radio City Music Hall in NYC on September 20th as part of a Hurricane Relief benefit. Other artists appearing are Dave Matthews, Trey Anastasio, The
Meters. Other artists to be announced later today.

tom will play a short set.

can i just say, mystery men was a sucky movie, sure. but while casting geoffrey rush, claire forlani, ben stiller, paul reubens, hank azaria and william h macy is brilliant, seeing them in there with tom waits makes my brain explode. i'm just sayin, is all.

and besides the studio version of Tommy the Cat, where else does he inexplicably pop up?

He pops up as Renfield in Coppolla's version of Dracula.

I don't think your band is very good.

Most Jim Jarmusch (sp?) films... if you haven't seen his bit with Iggy Pop in Coffee & Cigarettes, check it out.
