Mutts, Calvin & Hobbes...!?

Any one know why T&G is running calvin and hobbes again? and Why Mutts is gone?

Don't get me wrong...I am always happy to see C&H...but it was a bit of a shock before I had my first cup of coffee.

Of course the optomist in me thought it was new :(

Calvin & Hobbes is being rerun at least till the end of the year, to coincide with the release of the Complete Calvin & Hobbes anthology this fall. All the strips are reprints. I presume T&G will resume Mutts dailies by year's end and will continue the Sunday strips.

He's a strange fellow, from what I've read. Despises the whole newspaper/comic strip syndicate, and retired to paint in his parents' attic, or something to that effect. I think he has permitted one interview since stopping C&H.

I know he had said he wanted to do C&H in book form rather than be contrained by the 3 frame comic.

I wish he had done that :(
