PIEDMONT SUMMER 2005 FUNDRAISER
at TAMMANY HALL ~ 43 Pleasant St ~ Wormtown!!
Sunday, August 7th
Piedmont Summer and its committee members which includes individuals from Worcester Common Ground, Pleasant Street Neighborhood Network Center, and various neighborhood residents has been planning 4 block parties that cater to the families of the Piedmont neighborhood. Our goal for these block parties is to bring families together, form close relationships, and have a great time with food, music and various entertainment for the kids to enjoy for an afternoon and evening. The opportunities to provide these block parties for the neighborhood do not come along often and this event that you are participating in will help make this a tradition every summer.
On August 7th we are holding a benefit concert at Tammany Hall in Worcester to help raise money for the activities that we are putting on this summer. The goal of the concert is not only to raise some money but to bring different members of the Worcester community together in a common place to enjoy good local music. All the artists performing will be local musicians whose musical talent ranges from classic rock cover music to freestyle hip-hop to soul to rap. There will be music for all ages to enjoy and the alcohol can be bought for those over 21. We want to stress that this is a fun, positive, community building event and everyone is welcome. The fundraiser begins at 6pm and will end around midnight. Following is a list of the bands:
