Enjoying a spoof record?

Is it ok for me to really enjoy a spoof record?
I purchased the Rutles album last night, having not listened to them in quite sometime and I find myself enjoying those songs more than I have any new record I gotten in a while.

Neil Innes wrote some great tunes and yes, they all have Beatle references, but they are all just killer pop songs.

I guess I;m just living in hope...

No shame there, the Rutles were awesome. Beatles ref. or not, the songs were solid.

Re: Enjoying a spoof record?

A record is just short for a recording so, therefore, a cd is a record.

spoof is an art unto itself. as with any artform, those who can do it well deserve to be enjoyed, those who don't deserve to be forgotten.
