MySpace Bands from the Worcester area
There is way more music being made than what ends up playing in the club in the Worcester area. If you want proof, just do a search by zip code in the music section of www.myspace.com There are 320 bands listed within 5 miles of my zip code. So far I have heard some pretty crappy music but they are out there nevertheless. MP3.com used to be a great resource for this and www.garageband.com is still, but MySpace simply has way more people than either of those.
I am going through some of the bands now. If I find any that I like i'll post them up here, so far I am going up short but I am waiting for that gem.

Yeah, not really my bag either, but being bombarded with "new rock" at work on a daily basis, I merely think they are at least on-par.
