It'a a Russian website and due to the conversion rate you end up paying like 2 cents per song.

I don't download but the computer geeks at work use it and love it. One guy got the entire Beatles catalogue for around $10.00. It's the same bit rate as I-tunes and you can encode the music into a few different formats.

I'm tempted. I just don't trust that it's another country and they might not have the same credit card safety laws and such. Otherwise I would totally be downloading the Yes Album right now.

Better yet, how about totally free, live downloads?

Yes, there are a lot of jambands there but there's also a lot of other styles of music represented. Check it out, every single band on there gives explicit permission for their stuff to be downloaded. Heck, ANY band can have their shows on there (TCS, Huck, Bees Knees, etc), all it takes is to allow live taping of your shows in concert and wait for someone to then upload a show (or the band can do it themselves, if needed).

I get TONS of music here! :-)
