I don't know what the genre specifically is but I know it when I hear it. Basically the music is very catchy, has lots of electronic elements to it but it is not electronic music per say, it always has a female singer, usually very sexy. Anyway, I love this stuff, I can't get enough of it actually.
Some of the people I am talking about are; Rachael Yamagata, Jem, Frou Frou and Butterfly Boucher
There are many other female fronted bands like Everything But The Girl, Bjork, Massive Attack, Beth Orton, Air, Morcheeba, Stereolab, Mono, Dido, Lamb and Portishead to name a few but they don't exactly fit into this style that I am talking about. Those groups are actually a little bit cooler than what I am talking about but if anyone can recommend anyone, please do, I love this stuff.

good call, I loved that first CD, I am glad there is finally a new one. It has been years.

I know right, like 7 years or something :-(
The new cd is brilliant!

I thought that first cd wasn't any good at all. That "Heaven Sent" single was incredible, and there wasn't much else listening to. I guess on the new one, the producer Doc, who was half the group, isn't even on it.
I don't think your band is very good.

I liked a lot of the stuff on Breath from Another, Superheroes is a really cool song, Half A World Away was cool too.
Re: Female singer pop music
Not as much a fan of the electronic female fronted stuff but more the indie rock female fronted singer/songwriter stuff. That said, Gemma Hayes and Andrea Maxand are both incredibly good for that spectrum.
