DANNY FEDERICI:
KEYBOARDIST OF BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN AND E-STREET BAND RELEASES SOLO ALBUM,
OUT OF A DREAM, ON V2 RECORDS

New York, NY - Danny Federici, one of the founding members of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band is scheduled to release his new solo album, Out of A Dream, on V2 Records, July 26th, 2005.

Federici's keyboards have been the atmospheric backdrop to some of the greatest songs ever written by Springsteen & the E Street Band, while Out of a Dream sees Danny enthusiastically returning to his jazz & blues roots as a classically trained performer.

Produced by Federici & Mike Cates, the albums' first single (a Rolling Stones cover), "Miss You," has garnered adds, within its first week at radio, on influential R&R stations such as: WNWV/Cleveland, KSBR/Los Angeles (early add), WFSK/Nashville, KUAP/Little Rock (early add) and WVSU/Birmingham. Additional airplay on other stations in key markets include: KQXT/San Antonio, WRRM/Cincinnati and KXPT/Las Vegas.

Federici's intrigue of art, dreams, cinema and the newness of a day, provided a foundation of themes for the original music, finely executed by veteran and eclectic musicians such as percussionist Daniel de Los Reyes (James Taylor, Sting, Shakira, Ricky Martin), Jon Johnston on guitar (Earth Wind & Fire), Juan Van Dunk on bass (The Police, KC & The Sunshine Band), guitarist Todd Parsnow (Kirk Franklin, Bootsy Collins), among others. The dazzling & ethereal cover of "Knocking on Heaven's Door" afforded Danny the welcomed challenge of experimenting with tempo changes and varying moods.

review on danny federici

Some correction on the Danny Federici release. Michael Cates was the producer on the CD. Juan Van Dunk was never with the Police, release is July 12.
Michael Cates, noted saxophonist on the CD, performed with Jennifer Lopez and Bon Jovi.
Hope this clears up this misinfo.

Re: review on danny federici

Out of a Dream was exclusively producd by Michael Cates for Danny Federici. I've seen them live. Federici is lame. Listen to Miss You, Michael Cates plays all the saxaphones, and Federici plays like a limp noodle. The track rocks, but Federici ruins it with his boring performance. He should stick to his sugar-daddy Bruce. I would buy the record to listen to Cates only, but I'd have to suffer through Federici's terrible playing. Hopefully Cates will put out a record soon.

Hey TyraLaHott, why the preoccupation with Danny Federici? Everything ok?

Yes, everything is fine. I am just posting my opinion. I think he is a talentless creep. Lets just say that if the keys on his keyboard didn't light up then he wouldn't know which ones to push.

I am happy you did post your opinion. That is what the site is for. I was just curious if there was any more story to be told.
