OUT OF A DREAM, ON V2 RECORDS


New York, NY - Danny Federici, one of the founding members of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band is scheduled to release his new solo album, Out of A Dream, on V2 Records, July 26th, 2005.

Federici's keyboards have been the atmospheric backdrop to some of the greatest songs ever written by Springsteen & the E Street Band, while Out of a Dream sees Danny enthusiastically returning to his jazz & blues roots as a classically trained performer.

Produced by Federici & Mike Cates, the albums' first single (a Rolling Stones cover), "Miss You," has garnered adds, within its first week at radio, on influential R&R stations such as: WNWV/Cleveland, KSBR/Los Angeles (early add), WFSK/Nashville, KUAP/Little Rock (early add) and WVSU/Birmingham. Additional airplay on other stations in key markets include: KQXT/San Antonio, WRRM/Cincinnati and KXPT/Las Vegas.

Federici's intrigue of art, dreams, cinema and the newness of a day, provided a foundation of themes for the original music, finely executed by veteran and eclectic musicians such as percussionist Daniel de Los Reyes (James Taylor, Sting, Shakira, Ricky Martin), Jon Johnston on guitar (Earth Wind & Fire), Juan Van Dunk on bass (The Police, KC & The Sunshine Band), guitarist Todd Parsnow (Kirk Franklin, Bootsy Collins), among others. The dazzling & ethereal cover of "Knocking on Heaven's Door" afforded Danny the welcomed challenge of experimenting with tempo changes and varying moods.
