How was the night? I am sorry to have missed it but work has been killing me..I am working now and I'm not even supposed to be here today...
and off topic, Roger, have you ever heard of Matt's Pond PA? they are a Canadian lo-fi/pop band. If you have not checked out stuff on the Polyvinyl label you really should. I wonder if they are looking for new artists.....
The band sounded great (thanks to great players and Paul Dagnello), the guests were particularly good this time around, the attendance was less than stellar at first but by the end of the night it was pretty packed. I believe that the band playing Alice Cooper was 1,000,000,000 times better than Alice Cooper himself. It was like hearing an original band and not covers since I knew 2 songs of the whole set.
The Aerosmith set was fun, I knew less songs than I expected to, but there were some highlights. Train kept Rollin' was awesome, Sweet Emotion was great, Scott Ricciuti doing Seasons of Wither was exceptional. I was honored to show off my gong playing skills at the end of Dream On. Oh and I really hate the song "Dude Looks Like A Lady" but while listening to Cathy Cah sing it, I was loving it. As is the same with all of these shows, it was great seeing everyone smiling and enjoying live music. The band and the audience were great.
I played the AC/DC so I am not allowed to comment on it. I will say that it was the most rock and roll that I have every been part of. I haven't had blisters on my fingers like this since I was learning how to play. I was in rock-bliss.

i cannot let these inaccuracies go unchecked ;)
it's matt pond pa, out of pennsylvania and they're great if you dig chamber/acoustic pop. full time cello!
i highly recommend their latest 'winter songs', which was a perfect, uh, winter record. offbeat covers of neil young, richard thompson, lindsey buckingham plus a couple originals. 'emblems' is also great. haven't heard the polyvinyl stuff.
I pulled double duty saturday between Lucky Dog & Ralph's. Sadly not able to see Bane (which I really wanted to).
Lucky Dog; Alice Cooper set. Great. Liked most of the singing. Highlight singers for me would be Voodoo Screw Machine singer (Mr Pimpington I believe) and Neil Lucey. Also, Ron's was very touching...touchy?...no touching...I think...
Saw some Aerosmith and liked what I saw.
The band was great! Really, what a stupendous effort by all.
Ralph's; Muck & the Mires.
Jesus Christ! Take a breath! Great full on garage. To me 30mins would be an optimal set. But that's just me. The drummer floored me 100%. Talk about energy! I've been playing drums for a little while now and feel I can hold my own ok but, wow! They are SCREWED if they ever lose her. I was truly impressed! She was like the pistons pushing that engine forward. I loved it.
The Charms;
Great stuff also. Quite frankly anyone that does a respectable cover of Rock n Roll Damnation is ok in my book.
Re: Green Street 7 - post show
Great shots! Thanks for posting them.
