Lyrics from An April March
I was listening to Lava by An April March all day. I have no clue what Danella Hocevar is saying in any of the songs on Instruments of Lust and Fury, especially Lava. If anybody knows what she is saying, please tell me.
And a question for Roger: How does An April March create the lead sound in Lava? It doesn't even sound like a guitar.

I'll tell you what Ryan, you can ask Chris and Danella in a few weeks when they visit Roger and I. They are coming to the states for a short visit June 9th-12th and I think I can convince them to stop by Dynamo's to meet you.

The lead sound? Chris used to use a Roland GP-16 multi-effect unit if I recall. That song has chorusing and phasor all over it. That swirling sound is a phasor, probably the one in the GP-16, which is similar to the Boss PH-2. That particular phasing sound comes from a lot of phase shift stages, unlike an MXR Phase 90, which only has 4.
This really brings back memories, as I played a tour in '96 with them as they're bass player on these songs. Good times. The tour diary is on the Patchbay page.
