Rare Beatles music thread #20

This week we go back to March 5th, 1963 for the recording session that would create the unreleased early version of “One After 909”. Compared to the version that would appear on the “Let It Be” LP (which comes from the rooftop live performance), one can see why the Beatles passed on releasing this at the time. It’s pretty weak and the playing isn’t that great, but it’s still fun to hear the complete tape of the Fabs working on this track.

The track was scheduled to appear in the early 80’s on the aborted “Sessions” LP, but it finally appeared on “Anthology 1” in 1993, but in an edited version to make it more palatable and mixed down to mono.
