Willy's Burgers Sucks

what place closes at 8pm? and weekends: 9pm?

last night the wife and I drive there to pick up to go menus cause we were at a baseball game down the street, with full anticipation to place the order and pick up after the game (ended at 8). we call, and they were closed. I was very disapointed cause it smelled like heaven when I got the menus... :-( I will definetly try them again, but only cause the smell of cooked meat got in my veins... but seriously, what place closes at 8? It was still fucking light out!

If it's any consolation, I haven't heard anything good about this place...

I like Willie's. Good burgers and the best onion rings in town. Not my favorite place, but it is good.

see, I've heard good things about this place.. but I'm also a strong believer that a burger is a burger.. but speaking about burgers.

Benny's at the Summit has the best burgers (and meatloaf sandwiches). plus a pretty good bar crowd if your into watching a great sox game on a mint plasma tv.

I and my wife ate there once. That was enough. My steak sandwich was undersized and overpriced (over $6 for about your standard small sub size). My wife's salad was fair, she's had better. Mitigating factor: raspberry lime rickeys. Still, a far cry from Willy's former self, Eddy's Pub, our fave late-night weekend place for the pizzas and Sat. night 151-proofed karaoke!

I think Willy's burgers are super good.

Crystal and I happened upon one of the Maine locations two summers ago, and we tried one outside of Boston somewhere after a Sox game last summer. I;ve been to the Woo location once and Crystal has gone a couple times.

I have no complaints about the burgers that I have had at 3 different locations.

See I think this is like going to Coney Island and saying you'll never go there again because they have a bad tuna fish sandwich. You're not going there for a steak sandwich or a salad. If you aren't a burger fan I don't really think there is much there for you. The onion rings are out of this world though.

I miss Eddy's too LD. I feel your pain. Their menu was like a novel and everything was so cheap yet so good. $6.95 Veal Parm (with actual real veal, not the frozen patties) could not be beat.

Between Barber's and Eddy's that little corner had some good eatin'.

I miss Barbers... where else could I go and get accidentally sprayed in the eye by twin lobster splash from my mom when I was 10?

I dug their salad bar too!!

Eddy's Pube was nasty... (great bar though, especially if your looking for a last call bar at 2:15am)

I had lobsters at Barber's in Leicester last Sunday. Pretty good stuff.

Highly highly underrated bar. I didn't go there enough when I lived in that hood. Also I have never tried the burger there. If I find out I lived that close to a place where I could have gotten a beer and a good burger for seven years I am going to shoot myself in the face.
