Re: Swimming with Sharks!
yeah, i meant to say NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC PHOTOGRAPHER Brian Skerry. sorry
Re: Swimming with Sharks!
I went to this event with my wife and kids last night and it was inspiring. T Greater Worcester Land Trust sponsored it. They've done great things to help sustain the Ecotarium and to broaden Worcester's greenway, which iis already really impressive for a city of this size.
The great Chet Williamson performed with his trio, Chromatic Swing (www.geocities.com/artdaane/williamson.htm).
Brian Skerry's presentation was powerful. Not only is he humble and passionate, his work is phenomenal. He's photographed underwater wildlife all over the world, and has devoted himself to conservation activism through dissemination of awareness of the magnificent creatures of the world's ecosystems. I learned so much, not just about Earth's zany varieties of sea life, but of peculiar and important interactions, and, especially, how New Zealand is leading the charge to preserve marine ecosystems.
I was so proud to be form Worcester last night. I was beaming like a total geek.
Look this guy up!
