Worcester Magazine and Chet Williams have the right idea in this weeks issue on "The Business of Art". It is compelling to read about what artists are doing to make a living as well as exposing them to the public. The story is a short profile of 10 Worcester area artists who make a living selling art. I would love to read a follow up with these after a gallery show to find out how things sold, to hear about what they did to market themselves, and what they did to prepare. This sort of long-term journalism really appeals to me. To read about these artists over the course of months and get to know them through good storytelling would be great.
