With all the talk of Payola it can get a little depressing being in a independent band. There is a interesting article over at news.com that highlights some of the positive things happening with the iTunes Music Store's pay structure for independent labels. The major labels pay much less to have their songs sold in the iTunes Music Store, thus making them more money. In return Apple gets the biggest best music for sale and everyone wins, expect the indies.
