Wait a second, how did Hilary Rosen sneak in here? I was sure we had rid ourselves of the RIAA Ice Princess last year. Well Hilary wrote a wonderful piece about her iPod which, get this, criticizes Steve Jobs for creating a closed system for consumers.

Is this a joke? Please tell me this is a joke. The woman formerly charged with redefining fair use for music buyers is trying to tell me my obnoxious little iPod is anti-consumer? How exactly do we define pro-consumer and user friendly then? Over priced CD's and a firing squad for anyone who listens to said CD in a room with more than two people in it? One of the funnier points in Rosen's post, is this comment:

Yes Hilary, my computer is riddled with virii from downloading pirated copies of Banaphone. Heres to doing your homework Hilary. Virii need an executable to spread. mp3's are not executables. Thanks for writing; and thanks for convincing me that the webblog as a medium has officially jumped the shark. Party's over, move along, nothing to see here; if we can just get Al Gore to show up and invent the blog I can comfortably get back to my books and newspapers.
