As you may know, Volcano Boy sponsors a monthly Networking Mixer in Worcester MA. Along with help from whizspark.com and savehiphop.org it has become a very successful event. People from all facets of Worcester culture meet up on the first Monday of every month to discuss current projects as well as new ideas. If you have been to any of these you have surely noticed the band Craig. They are a newer band who have realized that promoting yourself is important. For instance, at the last Networking Mixer they arrived with an attractive girl wearing advertisements for their upcoming shows and all the members of the band had sombreros with postcards hanging from them.

Now they have taken things a step further and are selling ad space on themselves at the next networking mixer via EBay.com.

"You all know us, we're musicians, we're jokesters... but we're are also the pioneers of shameless marketing in central MA. You've seen us covered in flyers, wearing mexican hats, or if you went to a recent show maybe you participated in the hula hoop contest or the pinata bashing.

In any event, we have set up this auction to sell advertising space on one of the members of Craig for the entire duration of the media mixer. That's right, the winning bidder will get to cover one of us in flyers (preferably in a safe manner)."

Not only is it exciting that the Networking Mixer has attracted so much attention but it's exciting to see a band taking promotion serious in Worcester.
