If you are in the Central MA area, you probably know about 
Ralph's . Ralph's is a legendary bar and music venue that for decades has played host to all sorts of Rock and Roll. Booking at the club has been hit or miss for the past few years. I often lament a time when checking out the new Ralph's calendar was a moment of excitement.
I recently got word that booking at Ralph's is changing hands. Dickie Cummings is taking the reigns of the difficult task. Dickie is a long time staple in the scene and one of the original founders of Big Wheel Recreation. He currently managers a kick ass band called The Howl that features Troy Gonyea of The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Worcester is notoriously bad at certain things and supporting the music scene is one of them. Dickie plans to bring back great live music at Ralph's. He is doing some creative marketing as well as pairing up the best local bands with some of the best touring indie bands. This is great news for everyone. Raise the standards Dickie, we

I can't tell you how good I think this is for Ralph's. I was at the club last night and Buck Paxton and I both concurred that it was nice to see the booking agent/promoter walking around the club, seemingly sober, handing out flyers and encouraging the good size crowd that was there to see White Chocolate to come back this weekend to see more music.

that is in fact wonderful news...some of the bills were getting pretty bad.

yeah I think it is a really good thing to have someone who is really focused on booking.
