DJ Shame Travelling Through Sample Land #2

DJ Shame <link> has released the follow up to his acclaimed disc Travelling Through Sample Land. The second installment picked up this great review from www.turntablelab.com check it out and pick up a copy while you're at it.

Shame is one third of the Vinyl Reanimators, and has the distinction of being one of the first cats on the scene to drop a full-fledged, break-revealing mix tape. Yeah, Kid Capri had his landmark 52 Beats tape, but that was more of a demo on how to cut up classic beats. Shame

Re: DJ Shame Travelling Through Sample Land #2

I've been listenning to this disc for a few days now. I really love it. In alot of cases, the breaks are obscure where I don't know them, but they melt into each other so well, that it's a thoroughly enjoyable listen, regardless.

I can only imagine the time it takes to get something like this realised. Between the digging, the listenning, the sequencing, compiling, geez, what a task. Bravo for pulling it off so well, keeping it cohesive and interesting start to finish.

I'm out getting my abs airbrushed on...leave a message

Thanx Ron.......glad you enjoyed it. Yeah there's a lot of obscure stuff on there.........but it's all stuff that has been sampled before. Even if you don't know the newer track that used the sample , it's still great to listen to. There's such an incredible amount of good music out there that almost nobody knows about. I just keep on digging & trading.
