I am a big fan of a lot of Folk Art and for years I have been meaning to visit the Museum of Bad Art in Dedham. I may take a ride to it this weekend. Has anyone been?

Re: Museum of Bad Art

a yup, checked that out along time ago. after visiting the link I can't remember if i went to thier old location or the new one at the theatre. I remember it being a tiny hallway in a basement with about 20 paintings on the wall and stories about how they were fetched off the side of the road on trash collection day, ect. the stories and descriptions of the works are priceless. have fun!

Re: Museum of Bad Art

This is right up my alley. My mom has been in antiques for about 35 years, and we have enjoyed many a laugh at some of the art she's come across. I should have generously bequeathed my collection to MOBA.

Nice link!

I didn't make it out there again. One of these days I will, but it wasn't in the cards for this weekend.

There is a guy in that gallery, Sandy Winslow, who I own a few giant pieces from. It was great to see him in the Bad Art Museum. I think.

acquired from the trash.

Re: Museum of Bad Art

Stopped in the Museum which is located in the Dedham Community Theater. It was very funny, but had a lot less art than I expected.

Even better that the Museum of Bad Art was the movie I saw there. The Kite Runner. Really touching story and a well made movie, worth seeing. www.kiterunnermovie.com
