I believe that these are the individual tracks from the Yellow Submarine 5.1 DVD mixes.  There was a bootleg that came out shortly after Sub was released on DVD with all the individual tracks from the 5.1 mix seperated.  The bootleggers also did the same thing with the Anthology series when that came out (I have a great version of "Rain" where all you hear is Lennon's voice and the bass guitar).

I've heard these before and it's a great history lesson in how they had to economize on track usage, while playing parts that fit together into something amazing. What I love about this cut is the cool vocal harmonies that get a little lost in the final mix.

That and McCartney's evil fuzz tone guitar work.

Louie, I'd love to hear some of the stuff you mentioned.
