I'm wondering what other people who work in downtown Worcester do for lunch.
Now that the Artichoke co-op has started bike delivery of Duck Yao lunches to downtown, that's become my almost perfect choice. For me, the considerations are: cheap, convenient, vegan, tasty, healthy, and that they phone you rather than waiting for your call.
Left to my own devices, I'd eat coffee and junk food every day.

The chicken wrap at Ali's store right at the intersection of main and pleasant st.
Ali's store is officially called "A&D." He's a really nice and funny person. Look for his poems in the InCity Times.
Ali also helped me move a love seat on the roof of his car when I first moved here and didn't know anyone!

Midtown Mall Diner is great. No pretense, great prices, real down to earth working class place, great friendly and FAST service. Maybe I should shut up or too many will go there. It is usually full. Your place that delivers sounds good too.
Re: Perfect downtown lunch?
I used to work downtown. We often frequented Eric's La Patisserie. Not exactly cheap, but their sandwiches are excellent and they always had some specials and hot (they seemed homemade) soups.
Not far from Downtown is Lucky's Cafe, who has homemade soups every day and also excellent sammys.
Both are a little gourmet-y.
That's all that I know for sure are still in existance.
All done with nice.
