Interested in YouTube? Already have your home movies posted there? Come hear from Southbridge filmmaker: Rod Murphy on his experiences making feature films.

The Jacob Edwards Library is pleased to present an evening with Southbridge native and Filmaker: Rod Murphy, Jr.  On Monday evening, July 9th, 2007 at 6:30 pm to 8 pm., Mr. Murphy will be at 236 Main Street in Southbridge to present a talk on his life and how he has successfully developed a career in movie making.

Rod Murphy Jr. is Director/Producer of the award winning 2003 documentary "Greater Southbridge," a story about Murphy's hometown as told by some of its most notable characters. The film has been distributed by Gokart Films.

Murphy and his wife Gina and their two children now live in Asheville, NC, where his second feature length documentary, "Rank Strangers: The Story of Mrs. Hyatt's Oprahouse," is in post-production. He has also recently completed principal shooting on "Wander Down," his third documentary based in Mexico's Coppery canyons.

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Jacob Edwards
