I have yet to see a Burlesque show that wasn't a train wreck of talentless (albeit good looking) women dancing around trying and failing to entertain. The production is always horrible, the vaudeville or theatrical portions of the show are always poorly conceived, and the execution is like a 8th grade talent show. the girls never do anything beyond jump around the very same way they jump around when they are NOT on stage. The jokes are never funny and the routines are just plain retarded. This includes the Danger Birds I saw Friday at the Dog, Boston Baby Dolls, Through the Keyhole Burlesque, Suicide Girls et al.

I will admit that I may be missing a subtlety to the performances or don't understand the appeal. I just find these shows that happen around Worcester occasionally ,to be a complete waste of time. I would love to see performance art and maybe a burlesque show that had some production value.

The closest I have seen to something that had some real production value was the Bindlestiff Family Circus but they were even kind of lame the last time they came through town compared to previous shows.

Anyone have any opinions on this stuff?
