hmmm I don't have an answer they are all so great and satisfy me in different ways, today, if put in a corner I would go for Rubber Soul.
As far as Abbey Road, I love that album, especially the medley but I wish that they left Octopus's Garden and Maxwell's Silver Hammer for the anthology instead of making me go through the trouble of skipping those songs every time I listen.
It's amazing to me how I keep going back to the Beatles, I was having a super stressful day last week and put on my favorite Beatles album, Revolver, and just smiled.
Last week, when asked this question on another board, my answer was Beatles For Sale (alias Beatles '65 for the Yanks). Like duncan, my choice changes according to the mood. On average it's probably Revolver (just barely edging out Rubber Soul).
Or Help,
Or Abbey Road,
Or Magical Mystery Tour (Which would have been even better had Hey Bulldog been on it)
Octopus's garden is definately out of place on Abbey Road but I like Maxwell's Silver Hammer.
After looking at the responses I flipped through all my beatles cd's. I got to say I find little fault with disc one of the white album and it come in a close second for me. especially when I remember trying to teach myself Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da on my parents organ.
Mine is also Revolver, that was the first album I ever got on vinyl way back when, so it holds a close place in my heart not only for the music, but also for the sentimental value.
Mine has to be "Abbey Road", being a bass player I just LOVE Paul's playing on "I Want You", so aggressive and yet so perfect! I also love the continuity between the songs on the second side of the album, it's impossible to just listen to a song or two, gotta do 'em all!
I usually say Revolver, but my favorite Beatle record, which to me, is the pinnacle of their career is the single between Revolver and Sgt. Pepper: "Strawberry Fields" b/w "Penny Lane."
Abbey Road is pretty incredible too. The "medley" on side 2 is way on top of my list.

Sgt. Pepper for me.
Re: Whats your favorite Beatles Album
Rubber Soul. Right and tight and before they were forced to think too hard.
