Good luck with your opening tonight!

Re: sevengaits this Thursday. First opening for artists' projec
Wow, I am totally impressed with the undertaking that is the sevengaits complex. What a grand scope this venue is, there is a full Irish bar, A seperate restaurant both heavily themed, an upcoming music hall with a chameleon-like versatility (be it to show movies or small acoustic acts to larger acts...think a small-scale Paradise as far as layout)
The Artist gallery at the south entrance is beautiful. A lower level and upper loft area that welcomes you into multiple artist studios, a multimedia display, samples of artist's wares, be it paintings, clothing, etc... a glass blowers workshop, a trip downstairs welcomes you to a piano bar, a restaurant, bar, fresh roasted and fresh ground coffees (roasted there and at the bigger roasting locale across the street), an upcoming cigar / tobacco storefront, a full bakery, and an outer wildlife-watching lower patio for dining, socializing and taking it all in. I sopke at length with Mr. J Gabriel McCarthy, whose vision this complex was, and I have to admire his genuine want of something good to happen in this town, and I feel this is a step in the right direction.
Similar in intention (revitalizing town appeal) but much larger in scope (tho decidedly different) than the Artist Development Complex also in town, it's an injection of what was sorely missing in Southbridge: a "place to be". I could see myself thoroughly enjoying many times the multitude of goings on in this one building... and there are even more things to do acrross the street. It's about time.
As if the list I've mentionned so far isn't enough, "Gabe" keyed me into some future hopes for this space, and it makes it even more intriging. Hats off to Gabe, Demitri and Monika, and the many other people who toiled for the past couple years to realize this space.
Well done.

Thanks Ron! And thanks to everyone who made it out for the opening. It was amazing to see so many people! We will be closed through the 4th of July and then open again through the end of the month, so we hope more people will get a chance to see Noelle, Eddi, and Ariel's work. If anyone would like to be added to our mailing list for future events and openings, please email us at .

What a fantastic new facility! Now Southbridge has its own art gallery. Sevengaits is a remarkable innovation, a concept created and nurtured by Monika Agnello and Demetri Kasperson.
