Jenn I know what you mean, I am not a big fan of it on the weekends but they are serious about good beer down there. Try it on a off night sometime, it's great having so many options.
I had the coffeehouse porter last night. Delicious
Last time I was in there I ordered a High Life and got a real dirty look from the bartender. If you are going to give me a look like that you better not have one shitty beer on your list at all.
It is a step in a good direction. Although there are less taps, the overall quality is better than pretty much any place in Worcester (ie, Brew City, Boynton, etc).
The problem is that they are going to have a hard time being everything to everyone. From what I have heard, the bulk of their clientele is still mainly drinking macro. It will be interesting to see how they develop.
That said, it's hard for me to be enthusiastic about a bar that everyone advises me to check out but only early on weekdays. :)
I'll go on record as loving the place on weekends, no more or less than a slow weekday. Just a different crowd, in a decade of drinking there I've never had a problem.
Re: The Dive Bar - Amazing Beer Selection

btw...some one tell vincent he needs to clean his guiness tap at vincents.
Re: The Dive Bar - Amazing Beer Selection
Holy crap! Flying Dog's In-Heat Wheat and Allagash White (on tap nonetheless)!! I wish I didn't hate that place.
