I know theres a lot of sirius users here so I figured I'd ask.. I'm surprised that there isnt a computer or tech related channel. Are there any tech-related shows on sirius?
I agree that satellite has lots of room for expanding. I would also like to see (hear?) a dedicated tech talk channel. As much as I love Sirius (like many, I very very very rarely listen to "terrestrial" radio other than to hear the local news/weather on WBZ at the top of the hour) but I often find myself looking for something new and interesting, so I scan and scan and scan. Sometimes I'll settle on something unexpected like something on Adam Curry's Podshow, or something like a John Belushi True Hollywood Story on the E! channel, but there seems to be fewer of the "talk" channels that interest me. (As much as I love Howard Stern, the constant cycling replay gets old after the third time - I find myself mouthing along like you do with a movie you know by heart!)
I would imagine that there will be more and more channels as time goes on. Hopefully more information/talk/entertainment channels. Not just music.
I'm surprised that Leo Laporte hasn't struck a deal with sirius yet. http://www.twit.tv/ I regularly listen to twit, security now, diggnation and a couple software related podcasts. It would be nice to get content like this in the car without having to fiddle with the ipod.
I had no idea siruis was in the tv market. Pretty smart. Can't say I'd want it, but I can see it taking off.
Re: Sirius tech show?
Adam Curry has a podcasting show that sometimes talks a little tech but it's not a whole channel. I wish there was such a thing on Sirius.
