Massachusetts' musicians Mark Mandeville and Raianne Richards march on, scheduling statewide walking tour.
After spending much of the last four years touring the eastern United States as part of folk trio The Accident That Led Me To The World, Mark Mandeville and Raianne Richards will embark on their most arduous and impractical tour yet in promotion for respective solo releases. The two, accompanied by NY singer/songwriter Christopher Bell and his musical companion Jenny Jade Albert, will walk from Becket to Somerville performing each evening along the way. Why should they do such a thing? As a publicity stunt, as a Luddite statement for artistic integrity, or maybe just to get some exercise - whatever the case may be, these musicians will be taking their act on the road, on the trails, and through the interior of Massachusetts. The Becket-Boston Walking Tour 2010 begins Thursday May 27 at the Dreamaway Lodge and ends Saturday June 12 at the Nave Gallery.
DAY 10- Walking Tour- June 5 WCUW Front Room at 8 pm. Tickets may be purchased at the door or online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/111486

Sounds intriguing! Good luck!
Dumb question, but this isn't the Chris Bell from Big Star, right?

Chris Bell died in the late 70's, unfortunately a member of the 27 Club.

I hope we have a good turnout tonight! If you facebook, please share the event with friends.
A few thoughts from the producer.
1. The Telegram and Gazette did a feature article a few days ago, read here.
2. WCUW's FRONTROOM music series has been running hot and cold. Last weekend we had >100 people attend two sold out Bob Dylan tribute concerts, others not so well. Spread the word, the cover is low, there are community-baked/provided goodies, coffee and tea and soft drinks (and did I mention BYOB - please use moderation). Free parking across the street in the Clark lot.
Doors open at Doors open at 7 PM
Tickets are $10, $8 WCUW Members/Students and are available at www.brownpapertickets.com
If you wish to get involved in the series, call the WCUW office M-F 9-5 - 508-753-1012 or email wcuw@wcuw.org - or seek me out tonight (I'll be wearing the carpenters' apron).
