Hat On, Drinking Wine at the Worcester Art Museum: Thursday, March 18th 5:30-8:00

Jim's picture

This Thursday evening, in conjunction with the Who Shot Rock and Roll Photography Exhibit, the Worcester Art Museum's Third Thursday soiree will feature the sounds of Hat On, Drinking Wine for your listening pleasure.

We are thrilled that we will be playing in the main atrium of the museum, and that none other than Dr. Gonzo will be doing tastings to complement your beverages from the cash bar. We will have our full display of rock and roots instruments out for the night, from drums and bass and guitar and piano to accordions and tin whistles and harmonicas and mandolins.

So if you enjoy listening to your rock and roll music--a couple dozen original tunes, plus covers by the likes of Dylan, Son Volt, and Bob Marley--in the presence of a two-thousand year old Roman mosaic, or a reconstructed 13th-century chapel, or great contemporary art, then this is the event for you. We will play from 5:30-8:00, so you can still make it over to Dr. Gonzo's for the songwriting challenge afterwards or the Dive Bar for some soul jazz.

Full details of the event are here:

Re: Hat On, Drinking Wine at the Worcester Art Museum: ...

What's the matter, you don't like art or something? Come on down tonight!

You do not want to miss it when Dr. Gonzo jumps up on stage with us to play harmonica on Dylan's "Visions of Johanna."

And if you think we're not going to play The Band's version of "When I Paint My Masterpiece" at the art museum . . . well, just you wait and see.
