As you guys know, I book the bands for Douglas Octoberfest, we decided we needed to come up with another way of fundraising to put on that event...AND wanted to put on a summer event.

I came up with the idea of doing a picnic at our local park (soldiers field).

From 4-6pm out police department will be taking on our Varsity girls softball team in softball...then from 6-8 we will have live music on another field where people can come for free, listen to music, etc.

We will attempt to make money off concessions, donations, and the like.

This was all well and good when I had a band that was paid for by the cultural council all lined up...but not so good when I found out they weren't available on that day.

So...I need a family friendly band or 2 (heavy mix of covers or 'cultural') and I am working with some where between $2 & 300.
