radioball.net (via worcesteria) points out that there is now, or soon to be a InCity Times online edition. A little guessing found the actual layout, but it doesn't look ready yet.
so, how do you say "stay tuned" in regards to websites?
It's too bad that someone went to all the trouble of establishing a local paper (albeit a rinky-dink one), and then treats it like some high school dweeb's website.
Worcester could certainly use a change from the decades of stereo coming from the Womag and the T&G, but this crackpot is hopeless.
I glanced at the complete letter, which made me wish I had simply stopped at the first graf (as if that weren't enough!). Where Morton Downey Jr. ended, she begins.
Good lord, I hadn't read that yet. I laughed. I cried. I wanted to pour liquid drano in my eyes. You can't make this stuff up ... well, unless you're Rosalie.
I think those "Related Blog posts" are from across the entire wordpress.com, including thousands of blogs. Those posts don't have anything to do with the ICT article (except maybe sharing some keywords).
In regards to those that will advertise on that shit site... at least we know which businesses to avoid.
"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it." - RR
I haven't seen the link yet (I clicked on the first dead one), but I have to say that while this chick is nuts (judging by the post a month ago), it'd be nice to see an alternative paper in this City that actually espoused views that were "alternative" to something. The NYT/T&G-WoMag have about a 95% rate of agreement in political endorsements/points of emphasis. Makes them both a worthless Hallelujah chorus for our proven-to-fail status quo.
Anyone who's sane want to start a paper? I would volunteer my meager services from afar.
Now I'm gonna go look at the live link, should I cover my eyes?
If that woman could write her way out of a paper bag, that tale would have actually been entertaining.
I don't quite get the "I'll sell/give it to Dianne Williamson" threat part, though. Just send her whatever you want and she'll print it, we all know that. She makes her living repeating "anonymous sources (not counting the ones in her head)" Maybe that was just about the web-site, it's hard to tell.
Alas, InCityTimes, you could have had a fan/contributor in me but Miss Rosie is a freakin' nutjob. No doubt about it.
Hi..I have been trying to get a copy of the article for some time now, and I keep missing it. I am always just out of the loop. I would love a copy! thanx
Wow, I thought I'd heard that somewhere.
I wonder if she's drunk when she's writing these recent articles? I'm being serious. I've never seen anyone who was "serious" about journalism (even in a high-school newspaper) write in such a disjointed, meaninglessly repetitive, and poorly structured manner.
I don't know about her writing while intoxicated. I do know that, when I drew cartoons for ICT five years ago, its art director at that time suggested Rose tone down the invective. That advice has been apparently forgotten since then, many times over.
I remember back about 5-6 years ago when I was working at Funcoland over on Lincoln St., we'd have someone drop off a stack of these every now and then. The only things I really recall were being amazed at the atrocious quality of the content and writing, and that said stack promptly found its way to the dumpster.

"so, how do you stay tuned in regards to websites?"
Around Central Mass., the same way I stay tuned in regards to everything else. A couple mailing lists, this website, my friends and colleagues.

I left out a word in there, what I meant to ask was, how do you say, stay tuned, in regards to websites. That InCity website isn't ready yet, y'know.
Re: InCity Times Online
Duncan: Now I am totally confused as to what your question was.
(PS Sorry I had to lead before you guys started playing, I had an appointment...)

haha I was asking how you say "stay tuned" when you are talking about websites? It was a horrible joke.
The ICT website is not ready, stay tuned to see what it will look like.
Sorry you had to leave, I was hoping you would rip out that accordion.

Ugh. I cannot believe this neurotic bashing makes it anywhere besides a bathroom stall in some obscure bar after an afternoon of shots. Pshhhh.

Re: InCity Times Online
Man , you can never get too much crazy in this city.
This would look good in a Coen Brothers camera lens.
Mack, Rose, Donal and a alt-rag that reports news in a "zippy" fashion. I smell an Oscar.

That link is dead. What did it say? I am intrigued.

Re: InCity Times Online
This woman is CRAZY.....Not even close to a "professional" post on her part
Re: InCity Times Online
Maybe, I dunno..."Mack" realized this chick was a real batshit crazy and decided to stop "helping" her....She sounds like a real bunny-boiler to me.

And why wouldn't you buy your own domain name? I'm a recovering Luddite and I managed to do it, and they're cheap!

Re: InCity Times Online
Did anyone check out the links? There was a blog about a murder...is this the same guy? Not that I think anything on that site has any credibility.

Re: InCity Times Online
Yeah keywords like a man's name! Wow! So that to me is slander. Anyone following her link could mistake "Mac" for a murderer.

Don't cover your eyes, cover your ass. Her writing is so terrible it induces diarrhea.
Re: InCity Times Online
For those trying to find the right link, the site has disappeared (for the moment?):
"The authors have deleted this blog. The content is no longer available."
Re: InCity Times Online
Duncan, would you mind posting the text? I'd like to see the newest iteration of the grand kerfuffle that this pamphlet seems to have generated.

I'll email it to you. I feel funny hosting it.

Re: InCity Times Online
Did this woman actually write (at the WoMag/or T&G) for a living at some point?
Re: InCity Times Online
She did write for the T&G about 10 years ago as a correspondent and was a proofreader (I think) at Womag.
Re: InCity Times Online

Everytime I see a new post on this thread I click on it hoping it is her and she has found this thread and signed up just to go batshit crazy.
