Man, another bar/club went the way of the DODO...jeez, the slinging booze game is a tough tough racket to maintain apparently........I went maybe 3-4 times, they seemed busy when I went...but I guess their Fri/Sat crowds were not enough to keep it goin......

I drive by there every day (and night) multiple times going between Abbey & Dive and there is never anyone in there. I'm surprised they held out this long. I expected them to be closed a year ago.

Speaking of the Abbey (sorry) is it just me or does it always look closed when you pull up to it/drive by it due to their windows/lighting?
I'm always like hmm are they open??

aw, too bad. The service was a little slow the couple of times I was there, but it was within walking distance of my place and it had a nice feel to it.

It is a shame that is closed. While not the kind of establishment I would normally frequent, I love seeing business downtown, especially ones that don't shut down after 5PM. Hopefully another restaurant/bar will go in there along the lines of the Abbey or the Citizen.

Should have seen it coming whenthey wanted 60 BUCKS to get in on New Years Eve...oh, well, there's always the fine establishments on greeen street.

The place sucked. The one time I was there, the food aspired to mediocrity, service was an afterthought, and the potential of having a cool spot downtown just made the whole experience just that much more soul-sucking.

One of the bouncers there beat up a friend of mine (while on his shift) so badly he was on machines over night to keep him alive. Just because was talking to his girlfriend. That place has been a hot mess from the start.

Wont be missed.

What would work there?
I'd love to see just a plain ol' burger joint or something of like ilk (a diner?) there, that actually was open nights.

That would be pretty cool. If the galleria, fashion outlet thing ever gets completed, it may have the foot traffic it needs to survive.

I am still bitter that they charged a high cover even without a band there... (then again, I hate paying covers anywhere... I'd rather give cash to a floating pitcher that goes directly to the band)
