telegram.com: "Reported attack site"

Might want to check out the T&G website right now and see if your browser lists it as a "Reported attack site."

Jeff Barnard, Scott Zoback, and I are all seeing this, though not everyone is.

From the warning: "What happened when Google visited this site? Of the 42 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 2 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2009-05-12, and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on 2009-05-12."

It's happening to many websites but it seems to only occur if you are using the Firefox browser.

Louie, what other sites are you seeing this on this afternoon? I haven't encountered it anywhere else, but I've only visited a couple dozen sites.

Telegram porn? Well, that's an interesting revenue idea.

Re: telegram.com: "Reported attack site"

It looks like telegram has been bitten by a XSS (cross-site-scripting) vulnerability. All blogs and discussion boards are down at this time, including story comments, on the common discussion, and sub-site blogs (like DBA)

There's no malicious content (that I can find) up at the moment, not sure just how nasty things were before disabled.

Re: telegram.com: "Reported attack site"

Here is the capper: I posted about this to Twitter (@delnieve), and included a link to telegram.com, and Twitter removed the tweet!

Here's what they e-mailed me:
Uh oh! We found a bad apple in your Twitter feed.

We detected a link in your account pointing to a phishing site or other harmful material that we identified as malware:

Text: "T&G website hacked? Google flagging it as an attack site. [ your unsafe link was here ]"

Imagine how frightening it would be if it was homemade porn from the people who leave comments.
