Bars and Coffeehouses for New Guy in Town? Hi everyone, I just recently stumbled upon this site and have been browsing it...

Searching for old elevator part

Louie's picture

I am in search of an old elevator drum gear for an Otis #1 motor. The internal gear has 59 teeth, unknown pitch.

I am looking for information on anyone who might have one of these old freight elevators who might know of someone who has one of these motors or gears that can be cannibalized for this special part.

Photographs can be provided, if you need them.

Have you tried Worcester Elevator? Occasionally companies have these old parts hanging around and would be willing to sell- the only snag I could see is if licensing is required to purchase. I am waiting for a coworker to forward our contact info. over and will send along to you if you like.

Louie, keep us in the loop. Have been trying to pass one for days now (with out any real success, 45 teeth is the best I could come up with so far...).
