Louis CK
I went and saw Louis CK at the Orpheum on Saturday night. He's one of the funniest comedians around and the show was fantastic. I just saw that he is booked to play in Worcester at the Hanover Theater.
I recommend seeing him if you like things that are funny.

Have you seen Bob Saget lately? He's actually a pretty funny (and raunchy) dude. He's no Louis CK though.

Yeah Bob Saget is a pretty funny stand-up, I have seen a few of his specials and laughed a lot.
The Louis CK show was great! It was all material I hadn't heard before.
The Orpheum though... $10 beers. assholes.

I was stoked to get an email about Louis CK at The Hanover last night, I wrote a blurb on my blog and was going to start a thread here, but I got distracted by the interwebs.
The Hanover has done a good job booking quality, relevant comedians who can fill the room, I wish they would jump out of their safe zone with some musical guests.
Ticket prices didn't look bad, $20 to $30 I think. Locals know where to park for free and I think Hanover beers are $5.00.
I'll be ushering that night no doubt.

I did it for my parents to see Lampanelli and ended up with 5th row on the floor right on the aisle.

I will certainly give the box office a call and see what they can do for me....
Crystal and I have worked probably 35+ shows combined in the past year so I would think that they can squeak me in for the presale, even if I am buying a block.
What is the consensus? Orchestra as close as possible? IMO rows 3-8 are the best since you don't have to stare up as high as you would in the first couple rows.

The real question for me here is how long do these shows run. Wheat at Ralph's takes precedence this night for sure. Could I make both?

Depends on if there is an opener or not....
Duncan or Brendan could let us know if there was one in Boston. Without an opener this should be done by 9:45, 10:30 with an opener.

Hey folks this is all set.
I covered everyone in this thread as well as Duncan who sent me a PM. Crystal and I decided to attend as well rather than work since it looks like such a "happening".
I was able to get us 12 tickets together 6 in the 4th row and 6 in the 5th row directly behind each other.
These were $30.00 tickets that became $35.00 each with handling and restoration fees. I should have them in hand by early next week and can certainly do some sort of Dive/Nick's/Emporium meetup/drop off to meet anyone's needs.
Let's make a night of it!

Hey Folks, the tickets showed up today!!
They were $70 even per pair. I will be around town all weekend for the most part. If anyone wanted theirs this weekend I can certainly hook up at The Dive or The Abbey or you can feel free to swing by if in area of University Park.
I will certainly be at the Dogfish Head 75 minute event next Thursday at the Dive as well for an easy meetup.
Stacy- I suspect they shipped yours the next day and I should have them either tomorrow or Monday.
Gonzo- We might hit up the store tomorrow and hand off your tix and raid your shelves!

Post show, Wheat, who are one of my favorite bands of all time, local or otherwise, are playing at Ralph's and I cannot recommed this show enough. That Luxury band is playing too.

Another pre show option is a little get together at Crystal and my place. We have full access to the roof 6 stories up with great views of the city.
Every gruesome twosome can bring a six pack and we can make some light snacks. We are then a quick 4 minute drive to The Hanover.
