Instead of continuing the food conversation on the Pet Rock thread I figured I would start a new one.
Jim...
Here's the shopping list I mentioned:
There are 7 pages of vegan friendly products from trader joes on that list. Hope it helps.
It was excellent meeting you guys tonight!

Thanks--that's really helpful. It was great meeting you too!
I'll throw another question out there now on this subject for anyone that can help. Our pediatrician told us that for a 12-year old to give up both dairy and eggs was really not very safe. She said eggs were the most concentrated form of protein, and if she ate an egg or two a day, plus plenty of fruits and vegetables, she'd be fine. So I convinced my daughter to eat an egg or two a day if we can get them from some local farmer. My wife also suggested that we might be able to find a farm that delivers dairy and eggs.
So, does anyone know of a farm within 10-15 miles of Worcester (or as close as possible) that sells or delivers locally grown eggs?

They sell them at most supermarkets so you don't have to drive to Hubbardston.
I'd check Coopers Hilltop farm in Leicester too. www.coopershilltopfarm.com
They sell their own milk, (thechocolate kicks ass) and eggs from Westminster.
BTW I used to see (within the last 2 years) a dairy truck making deliveries around Holden. Not sure which dairy it was though. Edited: http://www.milkman.biz/home.html
Re: Vegan Product list
JoeTaco, you are a lifesaver. Those eggs are at the Big Y two minutes from me, and those are perfect. Thanks a million.
Re: Vegan Product list
i'm pretty sure living earth also has eggs from local farmers
just because a farm is local, though, doesn't mean that it's running a humane operation - was that part of the deal? or was it strictly a local vs trucked-long-distances issue?
Re: Vegan Product list
I went to Living Earth and got the Country Hen eggs. It has to be humane, for her, and we checked out the website together and were satisfied with what we saw. They are also open for visits, so we will stop up there as well. She ate her first egg tonight, so I'm happy . . .
Re: Vegan Product list

I've never been to the blue plate. Too high brow for me.
Re: Vegan Product list
Brown eggs are local eggs, and local eggs are fresh.
