It's actually not with intent. It's a combination of bad weather (heat) and my lack of free time (to bother the breweries to make cask for me). I do have a cask of Mayflower Porter on it's way which has been stuffed with an aged Hungarian wood. But this could likely end up being the first cask at Armsby Abbey. .
Had a couple of bites of an authentic pulled pork sangwich (thankfully missing crappy bar-b-que sauce, real vinegar sauce in its place), a couple of tasty craft beers, good music and when I walked to my car I found a flyer for a new hookah bar on my windshield. If I was visiting another town, I would have thought I was in a tiny oaisis of cool. We take this town for granted!
The pulled pork sandwich was really friggin good. I probably had one too many beers for a work night though and had to scoot out of there before I actually got drunk.
I do agree that we take the town for granted some times Pete.
I'm just adding to the first random Dive Bar thread I could find to give kudos regarding the outdoor patio area.
Crystal, one of our upstairs neighbors and myself went to the wine and iced coffee tasting at KJ Barrons on Friday night and then headed to The Dive. Got to meet Gabe for the first time YAY!
We checked out the patio, which was a great place to sit and chill and talk and relax while cozying up to some fine beverages. That Souther Tier Creme Brulee is SICK!!! In a good way. Next thing we knew 3 and a half hours had gone by.
Before heading home we snubbed our noses at the Worcester politicos by ordering up a Chourico and 2 tofu dogs from Chris. The food was spot on and topped of the evening just so.
Just got a pulled pork sandwich from Chris. 9 out of 10 times he is going to stand in the way of a very tipsy me and my house. Better than anything I can get at the White Hen for certain.
