I was all set to go and then I realized a $25 chow fest is probably not the best place for a diabetic. I am interested to hear how it was too though.
By the way, that ice cream festival thingy thing is on July 12th. They have done a way better job at promoting it this year. I hope I am partially responsible for this. :)

In one of my more hypocritical public displays I really ripped into the event for being so poorly publicized and even went so far as to personally contact one of the organizers via email and chastise her. We had a several email back and forth on it. I think if you look back in the archives there may be a thread on this subject.
Mainly I was just pissed that for like 5 years straight I have missed a shitload of ice cream all in one place. I mean everyone loves an ice cream party.
That's all I am wondering, whether it got any better. I have learned in my time not to trust reviews of anything here in the city. Especially the negative ones.

how come Gabe, what did you do? I can't remember.
Re: did anyone go to Taste of Shrewsbury Street last night?
I went to the Taste of Shrewsbury a few years ago, and was so underwhelmed. Most places had a buffet bin of some tedious, bland, lukewarm pasta dish.
Maybe it was different this time around, but I couldn't get too excited by the Taste banner on the Piccadilly Pub as I drove by the other day...

Karma is a bitch though.

I recall you were upset you missed it, I didn't realize that you wrote her. Good for you.
I didn't miss it last year. It was a ok time.
Re: did anyone go to Taste of Shrewsbury Street last night?
$25 is way too much to pay to stand in a long ass line for a dixie cup full of pasta salad.
I got a free pass 2006, and I still felt like I was ripped off.
However, I did enjoy the public drinking
