Help create a one-day sculpture for Elm Park!

Friday, August 15, 7 am to 7 pm

Where: The entrance to Elm Park at the corner of Russell and Elm Streets in Worcester, MA.

What: A participatory neighborhood artistic response to the “Art in the Park” sculptures.

Who: All ages and stages. Kids, seniors, families, students. Come for an hour or stay all day.
Creative Laundry

Saori Weaving Studio, local artist Susan Champeny, Worcester Art Museum and the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Network Center will guide the creation of a unique neighborhood art event: a 12-hour art installation by children, adults and community members who live in the area or are visiting the park that day.

Activities:

  1. Creating Totem Poles of plastic plates and cups with Susan Champeny Art Studio
  2. Hand-Weaving and Paper-Dyeing with Saori Weaving Studio
  3. “Make Your Mark” Printmaking with Worcester Art Museum
