Clothing Swap
I am in the midst of planning a Clothing Swap. I’m super excited about it. I just wanted to see if there was any interest here.
If anyone has ever hosted or attended a clothing swap, I would love some insight and or help.
Why Swap you ask?
To save money
To have less clutter
FREE clothes, shoes & accessories…HELLO!
To help those less fortunate
To help our environment
More closet space for a wardrobe you adore

sounds like a fabulous idea - i think a lot of people will want to participate...so what's the deal? folks pay a certain amount to get in then it's swap away?

The event will be free. But you have to bring at least one bag of clothes/books to swap.
The leftover clothes will be donated to Goodwill Industries.

oh man, i just gave away, like, 5 bags of shoes and clothes to Goodwill when we moved out of our old apartment saturday night. but I'm sure i have plenty more stuff PEZ wants me to get rid of...

Tis is perfect for me. I lost 14 pounds so I have a ton of cute stuff that i will never fit into again, but since I intend to drop another 5, I refuse to go out and actually buy anything until I lose the pounds!!
Please invite alot of super short ladies that are size 7 who love Guess and Express!!

None of us girls will ever be happy, there will always be another 5 pounds.
I'm hoping I'll be able to go to this, I'll either be the girl that shows up with nothing or the one that shows up with a car full, depending on if my condo closes before then. If not I may have to do an IOU on giving away a ton of stuff. I know some of you girls are in need of more lounge wear plus I have a ton of furniture I'll need to get rid of.

Im a little over 5 feet tall, and was (and want to be) a size 4.
Size is weird for chicks though, a 4 in 'Express' can also be a 7 in 'Old Navy'
my bottom line....I'm not anorexic, Im a midget :)

Everyone keeps saying that...We are going to be up to our ears in clothes. I think I'm going to need some serious help sorting them.

I'll make an effort to pre-sort. How ar you planning on setting all this up?
I have a few wire hangers I can donate and two card tables if those will help at all.

Great thanks, I'll have to count the tables at the dog tonight and let you know if I could use them, same with the hangers.
I wanted to do a table for each type of item with hanging racks for the items that are too nice to put on the tables. I thought I could do the sorting (so people can snack, drink and mingle). And I think I can get away with making my friends sort their own.
Other then that I'm up for suggestions.

Id just throw it all on a tarp in the middle of the floor (ala dollar a pound style) and let us bitches just go at it....

Yes, each item will have its own table. Although I think we may run out of space, I will bring tarps for the stage just in case.
Remember, you can bring shoes and accessories too.
